Marc Emery’s Time is Running Out

Canadian seed king and marijuana activist Marc Emery will be going to jail tomorrow, Monday May 1oth, 2010. For those of you who have not followed Marc’s story, here’s a quick rundown:

In 1995, Marc began selling seeds direct. This he did until 2005, when he was shut down by Vancouver Police at the request of The American DEA. What Marc did was perfectly legal in Canada, but the U.S. considers him a dangerous drug kingpin, so they wanted him arrested and extradited to the United States.

Tomorrow the Canadian Justice Minister is expected to make a decision on Marc’s case, but it’s also possible that he will postpone that decision and Marc will be able to get out on bond while the Minister contemplates some more.

Mr. Emery has fought this for a long time, at the expense of millions of dollars. Let’s do our part to help him, as he has helped our cause for so many years.

Please contact the Canadian Justice Minister with this message:

“Please do NOT extradite Marc Emery to the United States. If he broke the law in Canada, he should be charged in Canada, not a foreign country. Don’t extradite Marc Emery, or the Conservative Party will be punished in the next election!”
